Edit options determine when a control is editable or read-only for the application's users.
Prerequisite: Add a DateTime control to a layout.
On the Presentation tab of the Properties panel, specify the Edit options for the DateTime control. These selections take precedence over section and harness settings:
Auto – Select this setting to make the property editable for an application end user, depending on the edit mode of the enclosing section or harness.
Read-only (always) – Select this setting to make property values read-only for end users.
Read-only (expression) – Select this setting and in the adjacent field press the Down Arrow key to select the expression used to evaluate the conditions in which property values are read-only.
Read-only (when rule) – Select this setting and in the adjacent field press the Down Arrow key to select the when rule that determines the conditions in which property values are read-only.
Editable – Select this setting to make the property editable for users.
For read-only modes, use the Read-only value list to select one of the following settings:
Another property's value – Displays the value of the property that you specify. In the field that is displayed, select the property for which you want to display the value.
Property value – Displays the value of the selected property.
Constant – Displays the value of the constant that you enter in the field.
Localize property value – Displays the localized value of the property.
In the Label format field, press the Down Arrow key to specify a format such as Standard (label) or Heading 1 to be applied to the control's label at run time.
